Raksha Bandhan 2020 - Share a healthy bond


Siblings - The definition that comprises love , strife , competition and forever friends. The bond between siblings is the noblest and deepest of all human emotions. 

Hence, in order to celebrate this bond we have a special occasion, Raksha  Bandhan. This festival is the symbol of love between a brother and a sister. This day is observed as the day of siblings as on this day brothers and sisters come together to express their love for each other and also pray for their well being. In India it is celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm. Lots of celebrations, gifts , sweets,  chocolates etc are exchanged to add to the sweetness of this festival. 

 Since its 2020 - An year that brought different challenges with it. From the rule of government to the way we live our everyday life , all things face some type of changes. We are facing a major pandemic- Covid 19. Everybody is facing lifestyle changes and also mental to physical health changes. 
Covid - 19 may have turned our lives upside down but there are many things that we have learnt like importance of our health, how to boost our immune system, eating healthy food can reduce stress , importance of yoga , moreover being with our family is the key to happiness. In this pandemic our first priority should be to take care of our families health. Unlike this year we can celebrate our special occasion in a nutritional way.
Life becomes happier and easier when you follow a healthy routine.

One of the best memories of Raksha Bandhan is to cook for our siblings. This Raksha Bandhan give it a healthy touch by cooking delicious food rich in nutrients.

In our Indian tradition usually festivals are celebrated with fried foods like pooris , kachories etc. Staying empty stomach whole day or starting our day with fried foods is not good alternative. It just add up a layer of fats in your body making you overweight. Make sure you start it with protein , fibre and carbs rich foods.
